What sets this male apart is the continuity of his armour pattern. Bright metallic scaling extends from the face along the entire upper body, creating a strong armoured appearance rarely seen with such consistency. The contrast between the reflective armour and dark body gives this fish an unmistakable presence in the aquarium.
