This is Copper Rim Halfmoon at another level.

Of the Copper Rims I’m making available, this boy is unquestionably one of the standouts. He has the colour, the finnage and, most importantly, an absolutely unmistakable presence in the tank.

His clean, almost porcelain-white head and body provide an incredible contrast against that enormous mass of dark metallic finnage. Depending on the angle and lighting, the fins shift through copper, bronze, turquoise, green, purple and almost black, creating a finish that is incredibly difficult to capture properly in photographs.

Then there’s the finnage.

This is a seriously impressive Halfmoon male, with a huge caudal, substantial dorsal and beautifully flowing anal fin. When he fully opens, the sheer amount of finnage completely changes his silhouette. He doesn’t just look good in a photograph — he commands the tank.

Copper Rim Bettas are already exceptionally difficult to source, but finding them in high-quality Halfmoon form is another challenge entirely.

This is the first time I’ve made Copper Rim Halfmoons available through Obsidian Betta Co., and this boy represents exactly the level I wanted before doing so.
